About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for creating satisfying and compelling experiences for the users or the organization's digital products and services.
  • Researches and analyzes user needs and sentiment, creates and tests service design blueprints.
  • Works with Product Managers and other Designers to turn insights into actual product features.
  • Facilitates and/or drives the stages of the innovation design process.
  • Leads the UX research, design, and testing for new experiences and improvements of existing experiences.
  • Communicates the user experience at various stages of the design process with mental model maps, wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, personas, mockups, and/or high-fidelity prototypes.
  • Assesses and optimizes the performance of new and existing features by actively participating/leading in user research and assessing performance metrics.
  • Mentors more junior designers/researchers and leads the design/research workstream within a project/program.
  • Confidently presents design concepts, articulates ideas, and facilitates brainstorming sessions with leaders, developers, and stakeholders.
  • Designs and executes user research using qualitative and quantitative methods.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Five (5) plus years of proven experience in UI/UX design, concept development, building and shipping products (web, mobile apps, responsive designs), building and maintaining design systems, gained from working in an innovation agency, startup, tech company or large organization.
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, psychology, or research field is preferred.
