About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute established field services processes and procedures
- Conduct on-site installation, equipment start-up and commissioning, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Complete field service projects within budget and deadlines
- Maintain contact with other departments to support planning and budget objectives
- Communicate with customers and team members to support efficient problem resolution
- Maintain confidentiality of company operational, marketing, engineering, pricing, sales, customer, and financial information
- Allocate time effectively while tracking critical information, schedules, and deadlines
- Follow company and OSHA safety policies and procedures
- Communicate daily, weekly, and monthly reporting and correspondence accurately
- Comply with company policies, legal requirements, and regulatory requirements
- Perform other similar duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Field Services Specialist and/or Technician
- Engineering and/or electronics experience, or equivalent work experience, training, or education; degree preferred
- Valid in-state driver’s license
- Driving record must meet acceptable Company standards and be maintained for company vehicle operation
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, component and material specifications, CAD drawings, and specifications
- Ability to upload/download and make minor field modifications to PLC/HMI programming, primarily Allen Bradley
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Exposure to MRP/ERP systems preferred
- Considerable knowledge of process instrumentation, including pressure, flow, and temperature transmitters, valve actuators, and testing and calibration
- Considerable knowledge of field service management tools and software
- Considerable knowledge of continuous emissions monitoring equipment
- Considerable knowledge of safe handling, storage, and operation of equipment using hazardous chemicals
- Considerable knowledge of rotating equipment, including dampers, actuators, controls, and seal air fans
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, including across state borders
- Ability to perform required physical activities, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and seeing
- Compliance with company attendance standards
- Ability to perform Light Work, including exerting up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently
