About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform member sizing conforming to LRFD and/or ASD methods per AISC 360
- Develop 3D structural models of ducting, internal liners, and support steel
- Ensure designs meet AISC 360, ASCE 7, AWS D1.1, and applicable international building codes
- Review fabrication drawings and answer shop inquiries
- Coordinate with pipe stress/mechanical engineers and project engineers/managers
- Prepare clear, organized structural calculation packages for client review
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering
- Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, RISA-3D, and AutoCAD
- Basic understanding of high-temperature materials and thermal expansion
- Strong technical writing skills
- Experience with Autodesk® Inventor preferred
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) status preferred
- Knowledge of common industrial welding practices and fabrication constraints
