About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform member sizing conforming to LRFD and/or ASD methods per AISC 360
Develop 3D structural models of ducting, internal liners, and support steel
Ensure designs meet AISC 360, ASCE 7, AWS D1.1, and applicable international building codes
Review fabrication drawings and answer shop inquiries
Coordinate with pipe stress/mechanical engineers and project engineers/managers
Prepare clear, organized structural calculation packages for client review

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering
Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, RISA-3D, and AutoCAD
Basic understanding of high-temperature materials and thermal expansion
Strong technical writing skills
Experience with Autodesk® Inventor preferred
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) status preferred
Knowledge of common industrial welding practices and fabrication constraints
