About the role

  • Learn and understand the fan manufacturing process and how each department operates
  • Become familiar with all types and families of Verantis fans and the engineering principles behind their designs
  • Assist the Fan Engineer in cataloging existing drawings and standards, determining what specs are accurate to our products as built and creating a plan to create new standards books for each production department
  • Update 3D parts library as required for accuracy or to assist in drawing creation
  • Update and recreate detailed engineering drawings of fan components and assemblies as required using SolidWorks
  • Compile the updated drawings into new standards books organized by component type and product family
  • Publish the new standards physically as well as digitally in the company share drives for use by all employees

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or in mechanical trade
  • 1-2 years experience with 3D modelling, CAD or drafting software (SolidWorks preferred) in professional or educational setting
  • Highly motivated individual
  • Eager to learn the operations of Verantis Manufacturing
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and production plans
  • Comfortable learning engineering concepts
  • Good problem solving and decision-making ability
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite
  • Very strong organizational skills
