Bilingual, Spanish Telehealth CDCES

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide diabetes education support to patients with the goal of improving adherence and health outcomes
- Quickly establish rapport and therapeutic alliances via phone with a diverse population of patients
- Produce behavior change among patients using motivational interviewing techniques
- Present online webinars
- Consistently meet call metrics while also meeting quality requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current certification as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) from the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (NCBDE)
- Fluent in Spanish
- Proven experience utilizing motivational interviewing to provide positive behavior change
- Ability to receive constructive feedback and incorporate it into patient calls to drive performance
- Home office for private patient conversation along with high-speed internet
- Comfortable utilizing advanced technology (Electronic Medical Records, Microsoft Office, scripting applications, device data, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to recognize patient needs and adapt communication techniques for a diverse patient population
- Flexible schedule with a commitment to a minimum of 20 hours per week
