About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide diabetes education support to patients with the goal of improving adherence and health outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current certification as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) from the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (NCBDE)
  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Proven experience utilizing motivational interviewing to provide positive behavior change
  • Ability to receive constructive feedback and incorporate it into patient calls to drive performance
  • Home office for private patient conversation along with high-speed internet
  • Comfortable utilizing advanced technology (Electronic Medical Records, Microsoft Office, scripting applications, device data, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize patient needs and adapt communication techniques for a diverse patient population
  • Flexible schedule with a commitment to a minimum of 20 hours per week
