About the role

  • Conduct reconciliations of physical vs. system inventory (ERP/WMS/OMS), identifying discrepancies and proposing/capturing adjustments with supporting evidence.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory KPIs (accuracy, turnover, coverage, stockouts, inventory aging, damage, returns and losses), producing insights and action plans.
  • Plan, guide and support cycle counts and full inventories in stores and distribution centers: method design, sampling, schedules, validations and audits.
  • Ensure correct accounting and classification of inventory movements (receipts, transfers, returns, adjustments, losses, obsolescence) in alignment with Accounting/Tax.
  • Support the accounting close with reconciliations, variance analyses, provisions (losses/obsolescence) and preparation of information for audits.
  • Investigate root causes of shrinkage/discrepancies, working cross-functionally with Operations, Loss Prevention, Logistics and IT to mitigate and prevent issues.
  • Develop and automate reports, controls and dashboards (advanced Excel/Power BI/SQL), ensuring data quality and traceability.
  • Participate in process and system improvement projects (ERP/WMS/OMS), performing tests, rule validations and documentation.
  • Draft and update inventory control policies and procedures and ensure adherence to internal controls.
  • Act as a technical reference and mentor analysts, promoting standardization, continuous improvement and governance.

Requirements

  • Experience: in controllership/inventory management, retail or manufacturing; hands-on experience with inventories, reconciliations and loss analysis.
  • Education: Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or related fields.
  • Specific knowledge: Cost and valuation concepts, internal controls, supply chain and store/DC/e-commerce processes.
  • Tools/Systems: Advanced Excel, Power BI; SQL is desirable; experience with ERP (e.g., SAP) and WMS/OMS.
