About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide day-to-day support and maintenance of customer accounts held by the Account Director
  • Handle customer engagements defined by the Account Director to maximise sales capacity and customer satisfaction
  • Liaise with internal CDW departments, vendors, suppliers, and customers
  • Prepare quotations for standard and non-standard products
  • Place orders using sales tools
  • Manage co-worker and customer-specific Outlook mailboxes
  • Handle initial customer queries and issues
  • Process product returns
  • Provide product information, manufacturer data sheets, and specification checking
  • Produce Back Order and ad-hoc customer reporting
  • Maintain product and price changes in ServiceTrack catalogues
  • Work with key vendors and partners to develop opportunities and relationships with existing clients
  • Liaise with Customer Services, Credit, and Purchasing
  • Develop and maintain portfolio product knowledge as defined by the Account Director
  • Understand vendor promotions, special bid processes, and deal registration
  • Assist with holiday cover and co-worker training

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • PC literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook, Web Browser) with fast and accurate keyboard skills
  • Ability to create and apply formulas
  • Understanding of accurate reporting
  • Understanding of the IT industry sales channel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using internal account management and order processing tools (Microsoft Navision, CRM)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport with customers, partners, and internal co-workers
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to constantly change and prioritise tasks throughout the day/week/month
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Natural business acumen and ability to assimilate numbers/financials quickly
  • Commercially minded
  • Experience working in a commercial environment preferred
  • Previous administration experience in a similar role preferred
  • Industry product and service knowledge preferred
