About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for a 24/7 Global Security Operations Center
  • Ensure continuous monitoring, incident detection, and coordinated response across CDW’s global enterprise
  • Lead enterprise incident and crisis management, including threat assessment, executive notifications, cross-functional coordination, and post-incident reviews
  • Facilitate executive crisis management bridge calls and coordinate C-suite leadership through incident resolution
  • Manage intelligence gathering and threat monitoring using Genetec / Operations Center, open-source intelligence, vendor feeds, and law-enforcement information
  • Oversee security communications and alerts to coworkers and leadership
  • Manage GSOC staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management
  • Manage GSOC technology platforms, monitoring systems, access control, video management, incident management, and mass notification solutions
  • Develop and manage GSOC budgets, vendor contracts, and service-level agreements
  • Partner with business units, IT, CWS, Legal, Facilities, and Business Continuity
  • Establish performance indicators, metrics, and reporting to measure effectiveness and drive improvement
  • Ensure compliance with policies, regulatory requirements, industry best practices, ISO audits, and risk assessments
  • Lead after-action reviews and lessons-learned initiatives
  • Manage the enterprise-wide Travel Safety Program
  • Coordinate with Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies during emergencies
  • Manage GSOC analysts, operators, specialists, and contractors supporting 24/7/365 monitoring and response
  • Govern global emergency response for civil disturbances, bomb threats, explosions, fires, floods, workplace violence, and other business continuity disruptions
  • Design and coordinate installation, upgrades, and lifecycle management of enterprise electronic security systems
  • Establish platform standards, manage budgets, and oversee security-system projects for acquisitions, expansions, remodels, relocations, decommissions, and new construction
  • Serve as subject matter expert in GSOC operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience, including at least 3 years of people leadership
  • Advanced knowledge of emerging security technologies, including next-generation access control, video management and analytics, identity and credentialing solutions, and technology-enabled security applications
  • Familiarity with investigative tactics
  • Knowledge of laws and practices of coworker safety
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for communicating with coworkers, management, executives, and law enforcement authorities
  • Proven leadership experience directing coworkers and developing a cohesive team
  • Ability to make sound decisions during disasters or crises
  • Ability to prioritize multiple and changing initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of AI-enabled security technologies, including capabilities, limitations, and appropriate GSOC use cases
  • Genetec or other industry-leading security system platform certification(s)
