About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical leadership to the Azure Cloud Managed Services Team and level 2 and 3 support for cloud managed services customers.
Work through an on-call rotation with team members to cover cloud managed services accounts.
Serve as technical escalation point for Azure Managed Services Resources.
Regularly interface with technical and business staff of customers, including the project sponsor and stakeholders of projects in more complex engagements.
Mentor other engineers to apply engineering background knowledge for project design, analysis, and project coordination of services or products.
Collaborate with internal teams and customers to execute technical change implementations and problem resolutions, manage expectations and timelines to ensure expectations and commitments are being met.
Work with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools to support cloud deployment strategies.
Serve as a collaborative support across internal teams and clients when necessary, using experience and judgment to communicate effectively to all parties.
Serve as technical point of contact on customer engagements taking control of complex or vague problems and coordinating resolutions in a rational way.
Assist in infrastructure automation efforts using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Provide customer support and delivery excellence for cloud design, management, automation, and integration within Azure environments, perform routine monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Azure environments.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years total Information Technology experience, to include experience in delivering complex technical solutions, including planning, development, implementation, and support.
Or, 9+ years total Information Technology experience, to include experience in delivering complex technical solutions, including planning, development, implementation, and support.
Additional Microsoft certifications such as AZ-305, AZ-700, or SC-300, a plus.
Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell or Python, a plus.
Exposure to cloud automation and DevOps methodologies, a plus.
Familiarity with ITIL framework and service management best practices, a plus.
Experience working within an Agile team environment, a plus.
