About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinates aspects of a product or service offering project for a client, from inception to installation
  • Involved in interaction with sales, consultants, and other members of cross-functional teams
  • Oversees schedules and budgets to ensure project success
  • Executes and delivers projects that span technical practices according to strict deadlines and within budget
  • Ensures all items defined in CDW Statement of Work are delivered
  • Communicates high level schedule to the project team
  • Aids in identifying proper resources and optimizing billable schedules, monitoring, and adjusting assignments as necessary
  • Documents, tracks, and communicates project issues, aids in bringing to resolution
  • Documents lessons learned and shares appropriately with colleagues
  • Manages equipment, software, licensing and outside services procurement and delivery schedules
  • Accountable to CDW management for project results
  • Identifies and escalates difficult situations with client and/or project team and escalates to account team and management
  • Coordinates team efforts to consistently meet project success factors and exceed client expectations
  • Leads and facilitates both live and virtual meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or computer related field
  • 3 years of experience in Project Management
  • 2 years of experience in leading small to medium scale projects in a professional services organization
  • 4 years total Information Technology experience, to include 3 years of experience in Project Management
  • Working knowledge of one or more formal project management methodologies including at least one that is iterative (non-waterfall)
  • Understands the core level technologies
  • One to three years’ experience in delivery of Infrastructure Project Management, a plus
  • Working knowledge of the cost, timeline, and resources necessary in deploying technology solutions, a plus
  • A professional, customer-focused attitude and courteous manner towards clients, partners and peers is a must, a plus
  • Ability to work weekends and/or off hours as necessary to meet clients' needs, a plus
  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills including demonstrated experience presenting technology recommendations from a business perspective, a plus
  • Applies discretion when dealing with sensitive/confidential information, a plus
  • Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, a plus
  • Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, a plus
  • Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize, a plus
  • Ability to apply common sense in performing job, a plus
  • Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, a plus.
