About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive in person customer engagement to strengthen relationships and expand CDW’s local presence.
- Partner with Account Managers to accelerate sales velocity and uncover whitespace growth opportunities.
- Support large, complex opportunities through deal strategy, execution, and customer-facing engagement.
- Lead account expansion activities, including on site meetings, events, and executive engagements.
- Activate strategic partners to unlock incremental growth across assigned accounts and territory.
- Provide insights to inform territory planning and operational strategy.
- Own pipeline inputs related to customer meetings, forecasting, and in person led opportunities.
- Sell and support the full CDW portfolio of solutions.
- Collaborate with presales, Solution Executives, and sales leadership to align resources and engagement strategy.
- Proactively identify and pursue new opportunities in partnership with Account Managers.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in field sales or account management, preferably within Higher Education.
- Reside in California.
- Strong consultative selling and relationship building skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across sales, presales, leadership, and external partners.
- Experience supporting pipeline management, forecasting, and opportunity execution within a defined territory.
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Clear and confident verbal and in person communication skills.
- Proficiency with CRM and sales productivity tools (e.g., Salesforce).
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
- Comfortable operating in a fast paced, field based sales environment.
