About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead accounting and financial oversight for monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes related to cloud revenue and costs
Design, implement, and improve scalable end-to-end accounting processes for cloud revenue, costs, and related financial activities
Partner with Sales, Cloud Operations, and Technology teams on new cloud offerings, commercial programs, and strategic initiatives
Provide accounting leadership and guidance on complex cloud transactions, commercial arrangements, and evolving business models
Establish and maintain accounting policies, controls, and governance frameworks
Partner with Financial Planning & Analysis teams on financial trends, forecasting, and revenue and profitability drivers
Identify opportunities to automate and simplify workflows using technology, data, and AI-enabled solutions
Advance coworker performance and development while fostering accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence
Support internal and external audits and maintain compliance with company policies, SOX requirements, and financial reporting obligations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
At least 7 years of professional experience
Minimum of 4 years in an accounting role
3 years in a management role
CPA certification and public accounting experience preferred
Experience with cloud, technology, SaaS, managed services, subscription, or recurring revenue business models preferred
Experience with large, publicly traded entities preferred
Advanced knowledge of accounting and finance principles and practices
Strong data and analytics capabilities, including working with large data sets
Process improvement and innovation capabilities using modern technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools
Strong talent management, talent development, and optimization capabilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to influence without authority and work effectively with cross-functional teams
Business and financial acumen
Critical thinking and ability to evaluate new ways of working
