About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead accounting and financial oversight for monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes related to cloud revenue and costs
- Design, implement, and improve scalable end-to-end accounting processes for cloud revenue, costs, and related financial activities
- Partner with Sales, Cloud Operations, and Technology teams on new cloud offerings, commercial programs, and strategic initiatives
- Provide accounting leadership and guidance on complex cloud transactions, commercial arrangements, and evolving business models
- Establish and maintain accounting policies, controls, and governance frameworks
- Partner with Financial Planning & Analysis teams on financial trends, forecasting, and revenue and profitability drivers
- Identify opportunities to automate and simplify workflows using technology, data, and AI-enabled solutions
- Advance coworker performance and development while fostering accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence
- Support internal and external audits and maintain compliance with company policies, SOX requirements, and financial reporting obligations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least 7 years of professional experience
- Minimum of 4 years in an accounting role
- 3 years in a management role
- CPA certification and public accounting experience preferred
- Experience with cloud, technology, SaaS, managed services, subscription, or recurring revenue business models preferred
- Experience with large, publicly traded entities preferred
- Advanced knowledge of accounting and finance principles and practices
- Strong data and analytics capabilities, including working with large data sets
- Process improvement and innovation capabilities using modern technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools
- Strong talent management, talent development, and optimization capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to influence without authority and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Business and financial acumen
- Critical thinking and ability to evaluate new ways of working
