About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Oversee accounting for fixed assets, leases, internally developed software, prepaid expenses, expense accruals, and other corporate accounting areas
- Prepare financial analytics and insights on financial results
- Provide storylines comparing results with prior periods and financial forecasts
- Collaborate with business partners across coworker services, legal, finance, and other functions
- Collaborate with Financial Planning and Analytics to understand expense trends and support forecasting and planning
- Advance performance management and development of team members
- Deliver process improvements and promote automation and AI-agent tools
- Lead the team in developing skills and capabilities
- Champion CDW’s vision of becoming an AI-fluent organization and guide responsible AI adoption
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- At least 1 year of leadership experience
- CPA is a plus
- Experience working with large, public entities is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership
- Ability to influence without authority and engage effectively with cross-functional teams
- Talent management, talent development, and talent optimization capabilities
- Business and financial acumen
- Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles and practices
- Strong data and analytics capabilities, including leveraging large data sets
- Process improvement and innovation capabilities
- Critical thinking and ability to evaluate new ways of working
- Comfort exploring AI tools and practices and promoting responsible AI adoption
