About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze, record, and review financial information related to vendor funding and advertising programs
  • Interpret vendor agreements and incentive contracts for accounting treatment under ASC 705-20 and related GAAP
  • Partner with Product and Partner Management, Procurement, Marketing, FP&A, Revenue Accounting, and other stakeholders
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analytics monthly, quarterly, and annually
  • Maintain compliant financial records and prepare financial management reports
  • Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes and reporting
  • Establish and monitor accounting control procedures
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities independently
  • Record and analyze vendor funding sources and balance sheet accounts
  • Guide non-financial teams on accounting rationale and reporting and control impacts
  • Analyze actual results and explain variances to plan and prior year
  • Prepare for and cooperate with financial audits
  • Recommend efficient use of resources and procedures
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve business results and processes
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as assigned
  • Serve as subject matter expert for vendor funding and advertising accounting
  • Oversee offshore managed service team activities and execution quality

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related financial field of study
  • 3+ years of accounting or financial audit experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles and practices
  • Solid technical accounting skills
  • Organizational skills and critical attention to detail
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Problem analysis and proactive problem-solving skills
  • Process improvement identification and recommendation skills
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence stakeholders
  • CPA and Big 4 audit experience are a plus
