About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide scientific leadership on human health exposure and risk assessment topics across the Arxada portfolio, supporting regulatory strategies under BPR, FIFRA, TSCA, REACH and other relevant frameworks
Design, interpret and monitor toxicology and exposure-related studies, including threshold setting, exposure monitoring, dermal absorption and related risk assessment endpoints
Scope, author and present scientifically robust risk assessments that clearly articulate Arxada’s positions and can be confidently supported in discussions with regulatory authorities
Identify data gaps early and develop practical recommendations for regulatory teams and business stakeholders on the need for additional information, testing or assessment
Collaborate across a fast-paced matrix organization, partnering with other team members as well as regulatory, commercial, product stewardship and other technical teams to support business-relevant decision making
Represent Arxada’s scientific positions in interactions with external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, consultants and industry associations, while building a strong professional network across the regulatory science community
Contribute flexibly to broader Toxicology and Environmental Sciences team priorities, which may include study management, dossier preparation, classification support and other cross-functional projects.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Post graduate qualification and 3+ years industrial experience or degree level and 5+ years industrial experience with at least 3+ years in risk assessment for biocides or chemicals
Degree in Toxicology or related natural sciences
Strong mathematical/quantitative reasoning skills
Training in statistics and experience programming equations in Excel are an advantage
Training or work experience in toxicology, chemistry, and/or exposure assessment
Team player with ‘can do’-mentality; a strong communicator, who is flexible and self-starting with proven project management and project co-ordination skills.
