About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide scientific leadership on human health exposure and risk assessment topics across the Arxada portfolio, supporting regulatory strategies under BPR, FIFRA, TSCA, REACH and other relevant frameworks
- Design, interpret and monitor toxicology and exposure-related studies, including threshold setting, exposure monitoring, dermal absorption and related risk assessment endpoints
- Scope, author and present scientifically robust risk assessments that clearly articulate Arxada’s positions and can be confidently supported in discussions with regulatory authorities
- Identify data gaps early and develop practical recommendations for regulatory teams and business stakeholders on the need for additional information, testing or assessment
- Collaborate across a fast-paced matrix organization, partnering with other team members as well as regulatory, commercial, product stewardship and other technical teams to support business-relevant decision making
- Represent Arxada’s scientific positions in interactions with external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, consultants and industry associations, while building a strong professional network across the regulatory science community
- Contribute flexibly to broader Toxicology and Environmental Sciences team priorities, which may include study management, dossier preparation, classification support and other cross-functional projects.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Post graduate qualification and 3+ years industrial experience or degree level and 5+ years industrial experience with at least 3+ years in risk assessment for biocides or chemicals
- Degree in Toxicology or related natural sciences
- Strong mathematical/quantitative reasoning skills
- Training in statistics and experience programming equations in Excel are an advantage
- Training or work experience in toxicology, chemistry, and/or exposure assessment
- Team player with ‘can do’-mentality; a strong communicator, who is flexible and self-starting with proven project management and project co-ordination skills.
