About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the inventory management software business development and subject matter expert (SME), focusing on selling inventory management systems to automotive dealerships.
- Accountable for generating significant revenue and profit growth utilizing a disciplined and process-oriented approach.
- Set clear, measurable performance goals to achieve assigned sales quota.
- Interface and work with internal teams through the sales and implementation process.
- Responsible for ensuring all client information is entered into salesforce.com in a timely manner.
- Understand industry segment and keeps abreast of competitor developments in the market and/or territory.
- Develop comprehensive understanding of CDK products and their functionality.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business-related major, Automotive Technology, or a related field; equivalent work experience in the automotive industry may be considered.
- 3- 5 years’ proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets, with a track record of success in selling inventory management or related software solutions to dealerships.
- 5+ years of experience working in the automotive or dealership technology space, with a strong focus on inventory management solutions.
- Deep knowledge of inventory management processes, software tools, and technologies including AI applications, price book APIs, and system integrations relevant to dealership operations.
- Familiarity with dealership DMS (Dealer Management Systems) and CRM platforms is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets, with a track record of success in selling inventory management or related software solutions to dealerships.
- Ability to travel 50 - 75% in the field, traveling to customer sites, trainings, meetings and industry events.
