Senior Project Manager
CDC FoundationSenior Project Manager managing public health initiatives for CDC Foundation. Leading team to support overdose data surveillance and response activities in Georgia.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the implementation of the request for application process to jurisdictions to identify staffing needs
- Strategic thinking around meeting the jurisdictions’ needs in a timely manner through expedited hiring
- Supervising the Project Managers and managing project activities
- Report to the Senior Portfolio Manager
- Manage a team of direct reports
- Day-to-day management of the project
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree, preferably in Public Health, or a related field such as health policy, health promotion, global health, or health administration
- A minimum of five years of demonstrated leadership in a public health, non-profit, or related program work in the public health community
- At least four years supervising others and leading a multi-level teams
- Demonstrated ability to work well independently and supervising a team
- Demonstrated increasing levels of responsibility and leadership
- Experience cultivating a team atmosphere in remote environments
- Demonstrated management of federal and non-federal budgets, including design and implementation of program budgets
- Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration among internal partners, including Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Compliance, and Payroll
- Experience managing multiple programs, including deliverables and deadlines
- Experience in program evaluation, including report writing and editing
- Experience working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and engaging in strategic external partnership
- Excellent customer service and servant leadership to both internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, strong written and verbal communication skill
- Working knowledge of Smartsheet and Salesforce.
