About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain common areas of office buildings, apartment houses, or other commercial or institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition
  • Spot clean lobby glass doors and polish chrome on lobby doors
  • Vacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice daily
  • Inspect the building exterior and pick up trash
  • Clean ashtrays and sand urns on every floor
  • Empty and clean exterior trash receptacles
  • Check restrooms twice daily
  • Vacuum the lobby once daily or as needed
  • Sweep stairwells, landings, building entrances, and landscaped areas as needed
  • Remove debris from landscaped areas
  • Clean smudges and marks from walls, doors, and wall coverings
  • Report lights out and solicitors to the Management Office
  • Keep lobby floors and planters free of paper and debris during high-traffic times
  • Empty trash receptacles
  • Vacuum carpeted floors and dust mop lobby floors twice daily
  • Polish elevator cab railings, doors, and main lobby call buttons
  • Assist the building Engineer daily at Management's discretion
