About the role

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and lead test plan development.
  • Design advanced test cases covering all possible usage patterns.
  • Perform thorough manual testing and identify subtle issues.
  • Document defects in detail with deep understanding of software intricacies.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to drive efficient issue resolution.
  • Conduct performance and load testing to ensure system resilience.
  • Employ advanced security testing methodologies to protect financial data.
  • Oversee participation in software releases and ensure smooth transitions to live environments.
  • Lead adoption of new tools and best practices; drive continuous learning.
  • Maintain feedback loops by monitoring user feedback and system logs to enhance software quality.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to QA team members; champion testing best practices.
  • Be on-standby to respond promptly to production issues and collaborate with other teams to troubleshoot and resolve problems.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of QA experience with strong expertise in manual testing.
  • Proficient in test planning, test case design, and defect management.
  • Strong background in performance, load, and security testing for transaction-heavy systems.
  • Skilled in using JIRA, TestRail and Git tools for QA processes.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and release management.
  • Proven ability to mentor junior QA engineers and lead quality initiatives.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to provide on-standby support for production issues.
  • Good to have: Experience with GitLab CI and MongoDB.
  • Good to have: Extensive knowledge of API and its testing approaches.
  • Good to have: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Good to have: Paytech experience.
  • Self-starter (curious, motivated and resourceful), with an eagerness to learn.
  • Process-oriented mindset and enjoys problem-solving.
