About the role
- Lead the design, development, and execution of automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing across web and mobile platforms.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to define testing requirements and improve the testability of new features.
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers in automation best practices and modern testing methodologies.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks and tools, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and efficiency.
- Review automated test cases to confirm alignment with project goals and acceptance criteria.
- Participate actively in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups, providing insights on testing progress and quality metrics.
- Partner with the DevOps team to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to software quality and testing processes.
- Provide technical guidance and support to elevate the QA team’s performance and efficiency.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, or TestNG.
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) for automation tasks.
- Strong background in testing web and mobile applications (B2B, B2C, and e-commerce), including API testing for Android and iOS platforms.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a QA team operating in an Agile environment.
- Familiarity with continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Self-motivated, professional, and passionate about achieving the best results for clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
