About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using SAS Enterprise Guide and SAS Viya
Work on data preparation, transformation, and integration to ensure high data quality and consistency
Develop and optimize SAS programs and queries for performance and scalability
Contribute to the migration or implementation of SAS Viya platforms
Design and maintain data models and reporting layers for BI use cases
Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and data scientists to translate business needs into technical solutions
Ensure data governance, security, and compliance within SAS environments
Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows and improve system performance
Stay up to date with SAS ecosystem evolutions and BI best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

A degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field
At least 3 years of experience in BI/Data Engineering or a similar role
Strong experience with SAS Enterprise Guide
Experience or strong interest in SAS Viya platform (migration or implementation is a plus)
Solid understanding of ETL processes, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts
Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
Experience in data analysis and reporting within a BI context
Programming mindset; knowledge of Python or other languages is a plus
Familiarity with data governance and data quality practices
Fluency in Dutch and/or French and English
