About the role

  • In collaboration with the HR leadership team, this role drives a comprehensive and consistent approach to performance management that reflects best practices and supports the ongoing development and advancement of talent across the business. Support continuous improvement in these processes especially in team member engagement and coordination with learning and development.
  • Works with the overall HR team to meet and exceed service level agreements for the business. Support and refine HR analytics and reporting. Provide business leaders with insights on emerging trends and opportunities.
  • Partners with the Compensation team on all aspects of compensation planning, analysis and execution for Financial Services business including base, bonus and related compensation or incentive programs. Monitor industry compensation benchmarks and be proactive in providing information and analysis to inform compensation decisions and planning.
  • Supports acquisition growth strategy by serving as a subject matter expert during due diligence, integration planning and ongoing execution.
  • Actively manages employee relations issues in accordance with risk management policies and procedures.
  • Serves as a collaborative and proactive thought partner for business leaders and provide insights and recommendations on all aspects of talent management.
  • Stays up to date on professional services industry talent trends to ensure our talent management approach remains competitive and attractive to top-tier talent. Routinely network with other industry HR professionals to identify and understand emerging talent strategies that may positively impact our business.
  • Plays a key role in ongoing workforce planning, including articulating hiring needs to support the current state and future growth of the business. Partners with FS Operations to improve the forecasting of talent pipeline needs including the use of offshore resources. Provides accurate information and ongoing feedback to the CBIZ recruitment team to help guide recruitment efforts.
  • Proactively monitors and analyzes turnover data to identify opportunities for improvement to retain, develop and advance top-tier talent.
  • Develops and implements proactive talent retention strategies.
  • Supports all aspects of the CBIZ company-wide succession planning process to ensure there is a strong pipeline of talent prepared to support the future needs of the business.
  • Leads a dynamic team of HR professionals to meet or exceed service levels for the business.
  • Identifies opportunities to position HR professionals to provide additional value to business leaders including by shifting routine, transactional work to centralized resources.
  • Monitors and analyzes available HR capacity and shift resources to address and respond to the needs of the business.
  • Builds, leads, and develops a team including team members and consultants to support a rapidly growing company.
  • Develops, coaches, and positions our Senior HR Directors as the strategic HR business partner for their respective businesses.
  • Develops and maintains personalized development plans for these leaders and identify opportunities for professional and leadership development, experiential learning, and other opportunities to build and grow skills.
  • Supports preparation of annual HR budget including investment priorities.
  • Supports monthly financial review meetings for the Financial Services division to answer questions and provide information.
  • Owns and manages external vendor and consultant relationships as assigned.
  • Partners with the internal communications team to communicate HR strategies and changes to enhance team member understanding and perceived value of human resources programs on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10 years of experience in related field
  • 5 years supervisory experience
  • Ability to manage deadlines
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments and prioritize accurately
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally (and externally as applicable)
  • Proven high level of business integrity, client service and leadership skills
  • Must be able to travel based on department needs
