About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to government contractor clients across the contract and grant management lifecycle
  • Lead compliance and gap assessments involving FAR, DFARS, CAS, and related federal requirements
  • Support client interactions with DCAA, DCMA, and other agency auditors
  • Review solicitation clauses, contract terms, and award requirements
  • Provide proposal, pricing, estimating, and cost or price analysis support
  • Support contract modifications, bid protests, requests for equitable adjustments, claims, and contract closeouts
  • Help clients develop processes, policies, procedures, internal controls, and training
  • Coach, mentor, and provide professional development and performance feedback to team members
  • Build relationships with executive stakeholders
  • Contribute to business development and practice growth initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Knowledge of accounting principles
  • CPA desired
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, contract or grant management, contract administration, auditing, or related advisory work
  • Experience with FAR, CAS, Uniform Guidance, DFARS, or other federal regulations
  • Experience interfacing with DCAA, DCMA, and other agency auditors
  • Experience with pre-award SF 1408 accounting system reviews, business system audits, floor checks, and paid voucher reviews
  • Working knowledge of the six DFARS Contractor Business Systems
  • Ability to evaluate business system adequacy, identify deficiencies, and support remediation
  • Experience preparing or reviewing incurred cost submissions, provisional or forward pricing billing rates, and indirect rate structures
  • Familiarity with FAR Part 31 cost principles, cost allowability and allocability, and CAS Disclosure Statements
  • Experience with pricing, cost or price analysis, requests for equitable adjustments, claims, terminations, WAWF, or IPP is a plus
  • Ability to travel for client work as needed, not expected to exceed 15%
  • Must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States
  • Cherry Bekaert will not provide work sponsorship
