About the role
- Assist with underwriting and structuring NMTC transactions ensuring compliance with tax code and executed allocation agreements
- Review community benefits agreements and plans for implementation
- Review loan closing documents and reporting requirements to incorporate into the Compliance and Asset Management system
- Prepare annual CDE compliance reports to the U.S. Treasury Department’s CDFI Fund via the AMIS reporting system
- Monitor CDE compliance with NMTC Program and Allocation Agreement including performing Sub-All and Redemption testing
- Collect and analyze QALICB certifications and community impact information
- Collect quarterly project level financial statements and compliance reports and perform financial and compliance analysis of information
- Maintain quarterly risk ratings for assigned portfolio
- Post-closing, communication with borrowers, lenders, and investors
- Other job-related functions as assigned
Requirements
- BA in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
- 5+ years of experience in community development finance, structured finance, or commercial loans strongly preferred
- Knowledge of tax credit financing with specific experience with NMTC required
- Specific experience with CDFI Fund’s AMIS reporting strongly preferred
- Experience in working with CDEs, lenders, investors
- Proficiency in Excel
- Strong sense of urgency and shared sense of mission
