About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for the government's Security Office, COR, and Facility Security Officer
  • Deliver regular updates to the Program Manager on site status, staffing, and operational concerns
  • Maintain communication with security stakeholders during incidents or special access events
  • Lead, coordinate, and supervise access control and security operations at the assigned facility
  • Ensure compliance with post orders, SOPs, and customer security directives
  • Conduct shift turnovers, personnel inspections, and readiness checks
  • Respond to security incidents, access issues, and customer escalations
  • Supervise access control officers and administrative support personnel
  • Manage duty schedules, shift coverage, and timekeeping compliance
  • Mentor and coach personnel and support onboarding and clearance processing
  • Lead performance assurance and continuous improvement efforts
  • Enforce procedures for prohibited item detection, badge verification, controlled area access, and emergency response
  • Maintain inspection-ready documentation, logs, and incident reports
  • Identify procedural gaps and recommend improvements or corrective actions
  • Conduct routine site and personnel compliance inspections
  • Support training delivery and ensure post certifications remain current
  • Relay updated Intelligence Community security protocols to site personnel
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and drills as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 5+ years of experience in physical security, access control, or military/law enforcement
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or site lead role within a secure or classified environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ICD 705, SCIF access procedures, and secure operations protocols
  • Completion of the TAPAS assessment
  • Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph clearance required
  • Ability to pass a background check and additional project/client checks as required
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • High-level attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and on a multifunctional team
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Must meet physical requirements, including a physical and STEP test
  • Ability to work onsite in a secure facility
  • Ability to work extended periods and potentially flexible, holiday, or non-business hours
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience with SCA-covered contracts and wage determinations preferred
  • Prior Intelligence Community, DoD, or federal security contractor experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Lenel, AMAG, VMS, and visitor access protocols preferred
  • Security or supervisory training such as POST or FEMA IS-100/200/700 preferred
