About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Receive, verify, and process visitors and guests at the Visitor Control Center
- Issue retention, temporary, visitor badges, and guest decals according to approvals and clearance levels
- Produce and issue Common Access Cards (CACs)
- Conduct fingerprinting and capture credential photographs, including passport and ISOPREP photos
- Conduct personnel and item inspections using X-Ray systems, walk-through metal detectors, and hand-held detection devices
- Identify, escalate, and document prohibited items and security anomalies
- Operate and maintain Government-furnished screening, credentialing, and access-control equipment
- Collaborate with Government security offices to troubleshoot access issues and resolve credential and system discrepancies
- Collect, maintain, and report visitor-control statistics and operational data
- Document actions, incidents, and access transactions in approved Government systems
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience in visitor control, access control, security operations, or credentialing preferred
- Experience operating security screening equipment preferred
- Ability to follow detailed Post Orders and Government security procedures without deviation
- Completion of the Tailored Adaptive Personality Assessment System (TAPAS) required
- Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph clearance required
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Valid state driver’s license in good standing
- Ability to pass a background check and additional project/client checks as required
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Fluency in English
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, adapt to change, and learn quickly
- Ability to work independently and on a multifunctional team
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Proficiency in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Ability to work onsite, rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and potentially outside normal business hours
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move items up to 40 lbs
