About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide independent, on-site Tier II IT support to client users across regional offices, agencies, schools, and law enforcement facilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, peripherals, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Google Mail, GIS, AutoCAD, and specialized applications
- Diagnose and resolve complex operational issues with minimal guidance
- Perform printer setup, network connectivity support, and VoIP equipment maintenance
- Image and deploy devices
- Provide basic end-user training and guidance
- Document incidents, resolutions, and actions in the ticketing system
- Assist Field Support Managers and escalate issues to higher tiers when required
- Ensure compliance with security protocols
- Travel to other client sites, including urban and remote rural/tribal areas, to maintain service continuity
- Report to the Project Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate Degree or combination of education and experience, or tradeoff between education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years of related technical experience supporting desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, printers, scanners, local area networks, servers, and network switches
- Experience installing and troubleshooting hardware and software
- Ability to support Microsoft operating systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Mail
- Ability to support specialized software such as GIS and AutoCAD, or similar software/general business applications
- Familiarity with standalone and network computers, LANs, and WANs
- Ability to work with minimal guidance
- Must obtain and maintain a favorable adjudicated NACI
- Must be able to pass a background check and possible additional project/client checks
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Adaptable, self-motivated, and able to work independently and on a multifunctional team
- Strong customer service and de-escalation skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Ability to research and learn new software
- Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties for extended periods
- Ability to use a computer and office productivity tools with sufficient speed
- Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace
- Must be able to sit for long periods while looking at a computer screen
- May be required to work outside normal business hours and travel for business or professional development
