About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide inventory support to directorates for approximately 9,000 items within DPAS
  • Ensure all accountable IT items are accepted on another EC account prior to release (approximately 3–6 times daily)
  • Dispose of all packing and waste material in accordance with applicable guidance (approximately 4–6 pallets per month)
  • Dispose of all hardware and software products using processes and checklists that comply with applicable Government policies
  • Conduct an annual 100% inventory and a monthly inventory of 10% of all trackable assets in accordance with applicable policies and laws
  • Account for all Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) provided to the workforce in accordance with the inventory reporting requirements described herein
  • Ensure proper accountability for all GFE transitioning within the IT support areas of operation
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in information technology, computer science, information systems, or a related field
  • Current CompTIA Security+ (Security Plus) certification (or higher-level DoD 8570/8140-compliant baseline certification in the Information Assurance Technician category)
  • Active Secret security clearance required
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and articulate manner
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced environment with changing priorities
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
