Provide Tier 1 Help Desk IT support for all ELT activities conducted in designated facilities, including Building 632, Building 633 (if occupied), Building 690 (1st and 2nd floors), and Building 558 (Learning Resource Center and Contractor Administrative Offices). Troubleshoot and maintain small computer hardware and software systems for optimal performance and continuity of operations. Deliver reliable wired and wireless internet support to meet program needs for both instructional and administrative purposes. Manage cable television systems used for instructional and administrative purposes in the designated facilities. Provide direct IT support to RSAF ELT Curriculum Liaison Officers (CLOs) and Military Training Liaisons (MTLs). Adapt IT support to meet changing needs as documented in task orders when facilities or program requirements evolve. Administering the listening portion of the ALCPT (American Course Language Test) monthly for current students as well as administering an entry-level listening test for new students Addressing any internet and billing issues that may arise with the internet service provider. Monitoring and maintaining Xerox copiers and ensuring replacement items (toner, drums, transfer belts,) are shipped and delivered in a timely manner. Assist in purchasing IT equipment and accessories. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Possess a bachelor’s degree. At least two (2) years of experience in providing Tier 1 Help Desk support and performing small computer hardware/software maintenance and troubleshooting Hold a 8570.01 IAT Level 2 certification Security ++ Ability to obtain CompTIA Sec + certified. Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment. Minimum Skills: Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and articulate manner. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail. Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast past environment with changing priorities; adaptable to change and a quick learner. Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
