Procurement Specialist – Level III
Cayuse HoldingsProcurement Specialist III managing government contract acquisition processes. Drafting plans, conducting evaluations, and advising on procurement policies.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drafts Acquisition Plans for new contract requirements to include writing (SOWs), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), and all other technical requirements for contracts with total value under $25,000,000.
- Conducts market research, data analysis, and technical evaluations from vendor proposals.
- Reviews planned orders, creates requisitions for purchased items and supports the approval process.
- Tracks order acknowledgement; confirms lead times, delivery dates, and costs; and communicates with the program office on any discrepancies or disruptions.
- Reviews and tracks purchase orders until they are closed.
- Reviews orders to confirm that they adhere to supplier agreements and contracts, and reports nonconformance.
- Reviews invoices to confirm delivery of goods and assists with invoicing discrepancies.
- Identifies opportunities and recommends actions to achieve efficiencies.
- Evaluates supplier’s capacity to perform and comply and makes recommendations to management concerning products and services and available sources of supply.
- Advises program office and resource management of any procurement policy changes.
- Creates and briefs the program office on acquisition strategies
- Assists COR with eFiling requirements
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree, or at least seven (7) years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of formal education and relevant work experience
- Expert knowledge in acquisitions or supply chain fields
- Expert knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other procurement statutes, policies, and procedures
- Maintains professional competence and specialized knowledge base by keeping abreast of emerging themes and best practices
- Secret Clearance is required.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications (MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Must be highly organized and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
