About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drafts Acquisition Plans for new contract requirements to include writing (SOWs), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), and all other technical requirements for contracts with total value under $25,000,000.
  • Conducts market research, data analysis, and technical evaluations from vendor proposals.
  • Reviews planned orders, creates requisitions for purchased items and supports the approval process.
  • Tracks order acknowledgement; confirms lead times, delivery dates, and costs; and communicates with the program office on any discrepancies or disruptions.
  • Reviews and tracks purchase orders until they are closed.
  • Reviews orders to confirm that they adhere to supplier agreements and contracts, and reports nonconformance.
  • Reviews invoices to confirm delivery of goods and assists with invoicing discrepancies.
  • Identifies opportunities and recommends actions to achieve efficiencies.
  • Evaluates supplier’s capacity to perform and comply and makes recommendations to management concerning products and services and available sources of supply.
  • Advises program office and resource management of any procurement policy changes.
  • Creates and briefs the program office on acquisition strategies
  • Assists COR with eFiling requirements
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree, or at least seven (7) years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of formal education and relevant work experience
  • Expert knowledge in acquisitions or supply chain fields
  • Expert knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other procurement statutes, policies, and procedures
  • Maintains professional competence and specialized knowledge base by keeping abreast of emerging themes and best practices
  • Secret Clearance is required.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications (MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Must be highly organized and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
