Support the migration and modernization of end-of-life (EOL) systems, including the assessment, planning, and execution of migration strategies for legacy systems running outdated versions of Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
Analyze existing legacy system environments, identify upgrade requirements, and develop migration roadmaps to achieve full compliance with current organizational and security standards.
Perform upgrades and transitions of legacy operating systems to supported versions, such as Windows Server 2016, 2019, or 2022, and RHEL 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9, ensuring minimal disruption to mission operations.
Coordinate with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure seamless migration activities, including data integrity verification, application compatibility testing, and post-migration validation.
Implement security enhancements and configuration updates as part of the modernization process to address vulnerabilities and improve overall system performance.
Document migration procedures, system configurations, and lessons learned to inform ongoing modernization initiatives and support future sustainment activities.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise during and after the migration process to ensure operational continuity and end-user satisfaction.

Requirements

8 years of experience with RHEL and Windows OS.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and articulate manner.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail.
Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast past environment with changing priorities; adaptable to change and a quick learner.
Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Ability to build trust and maintain relationships across technical and business teams.
