Remain HIPAA compliant when interpreting or translating in healthcare settings
Abide by client’s policies and American Translators Association Code of Ethics
Render complete and accurate translations without altering, omitting, or adding content
Be sensitive to cultural differences during translation process
Be on-call and respond to translator assignments within 48 hours
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent in years of experience
Minimum of 2 years of related experience
Certified Translation Professional
Translation Certifications
Certifications from a previous agency or Accreditation from a translation program
Must be fluent in English
Must be fluent in Korean
Must be able to pass a background check
Ability to facilitate translation with discretion and impartiality
Proficiency in written communication
Cultural awareness when conducting translations within different regions
Must possess problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.
Highly motivated with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks at any one time
Must be a Self-starter, that can work independently and as part of a team
For Medical Translation services: must have medical interpreter certificate from either the Certification Commission of Healthcare Interpreters or the National Certification for Medical Interpreters
2 years of Legal translation experience (preferred)
2 years of Medical translation experience (preferred)
American Translators Association Certification (preferred)
