About the role
- Serve as Regional Advisor to the following states: AL, FL, GA, MS, PR. VI.
- Conduct and Manage client workshops.
- Safeguard government issued computers and any other government property.
- Ensure proper contractor identification on all verbal, written, telephonic, or digital correspondence and products.
- Travel to States within their assigned regions and conduct Readiness Improvement Workshops.
- While utilizing government facilities, all personnel will observe utilities conservation practices.
- Conduct State/unit level DMOSQ/PME/AFAM Selection/PRW workshops within their region of responsibility.
- Assist other Regional Advisor’s with necessary workshops as requested and as schedule permits.
- Conduct State level workshops one to two times annually with each State, Territory, or District within assigned region.
- Review Soldier records to verify training requirements needed or that have been satisfied to develop a plan to improve DMOSQ and PME/DLC qualifications.
- Focus on units with DMOSQ percentages of less than 75% based on their Authorized Strength.
- Analyze PME rates and draft plans for the State, Territory, or District to reduce legacy rates below 20%.
- Review quota seat management and integration of both IET and reclassification training to open training seats and reduce reclassification costs.
- Conduct readiness review and implementation planning in coordination with State/Territory Quota Source Managers to facilitate an increase in DMOSQ.
- Provide a matrix which encompasses objectives and accomplishments based on the program’s implementation plan.
- Identify those who are not currently scheduled for training and provide draft plans to reduce the number of non-enrollees.
- Compare trends and provide recommendations to improve business processes and procedures related to DMOSQ and PME/DLC qualifications.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of support, efficiency of operations, and compliance with NGB regulations, guidelines, and directives and recommend new innovations to achieve improved DMOSQ and PME/DLC qualifications.
- Track chronic non-DMOSQ population (defined as three or more years of non-DMOSQ)
- Conduct site visits as required with Recruit Sustainment Program, Regional Training Institute (RTI) Liaison offices, and other designated locations within assignment.
- Visit training sites, State, and unit stakeholders to develop a relationship and explain the desired outcome for that region and States.
- Provide After Action Reviews (AAR) or trip reports to ARNG-TRI no later than three days after completion of a workshop or conference.
- Provide a list of concerns and issues, as they arise during workshops, to present to TRI for analysis and resolution.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least ten (10) years of experience in the following:
- Working level knowledge of ARNG personnel and training policies/regulations and force structure.
- Working level knowledge of the following ARNG personnel data systems:
- The Army Training Requirements and Resource System (ATRRS)
- Total Army Personnel Data Base-Guard (TAPDB-G)
- Integrated Personnel and Pay System – Army (IPPS-A)
- ATRRS Funding Allocation Model (AFAM)
- The Army School System (TASS)
- Force Management System Web Site (FMSweb)
- Individual Personnel Electronic Records Management System (iPERMS)
- Director's Personnel Readiness Overview (DPRO)
- Defense Information Security System (DISS)
- Army Learning Management System (ALMS)
- Previous member (Senior NCO or Officer) of Army National Guard preferred
- Active Secret clearance
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Minimum Skills Required:
- Must possess problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to respond effectively to customers with a sense of urgency.
- Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.
- Highly motivated with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks at any one time.
- Ability to forge new relationships, individual and teaming in nature.
- Must be a Self-starter, that can work independently and as part of a team.
