About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Research, write, and assemble executive briefing products for steady-state operations, incident management, and special events
  • Prepare and present oral briefings for senior executive-level audiences
  • Synthesize and conduct detailed research using internal and external reports
  • Provide production services including briefing presentations, briefing books, electronic distribution lists, and video-teleconference presentations
  • Ensure products and presentations follow established style guides and standards
  • Organize and maintain electronic records of reference materials and final products
  • Monitor, organize, and maintain group email boxes and calendars in unclassified and classified environments
  • Work flexible assigned hours to meet production, preparation, and distribution needs
  • Provide surge support for 24/7 incident management operations as needed
  • Report to the Program Manager
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
  • Must be able to pass a background check and may require additional project/client background checks
  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Homeland Security, Emergency Management, Public Policy, Public Administration, or English preferred
  • An additional two years of experience may substitute for an Associate’s degree
  • An additional four years of experience may substitute for a high school diploma
  • Zero to two years of experience in developing communications products
  • Experience researching, writing, and assembling briefing products for senior leaders
  • Experience preparing and presenting oral briefings based on synthesis and detailed research
  • Ability to comprehend and assess highly technical information in a time-constrained environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to produce high-quality results under tight deadlines
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment
  • Ability to work on-site in a professional office environment
  • Ability to work variable hours, including 8–12 hour shifts, holidays, and hours outside normal business hours
