About the role
- Enable successful changes to Causeway’s products and IT systems.
- Responsible for the day to day running of change management processes and operations, to effectively govern and control changes to Causeway’s technology estate.
- Provide subject matter expertise to other team members and senior stakeholders to ensure effective change management processes.
- Report to the Head of IT Support Services.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Professional services, Customer Support and IT teams to co-ordinate change and release activity.
- Lead the Change Advisory Board, ensuring adequate risk assessments, testing and scheduling of technical changes and releases.
- Authorise changes to proceed, considering risk and any impact to security posture.
- Oversee updates, deployments, and releases into live environments including product releases, maintenance and patch cycles to support compliance such as CE and ISO27001.
- Manage the change and forward schedule of change, liaising with Customer Support teams to ensure that customers are given appropriate notice of changes.
- Work with Product, Engineering and Customer Services teams to define change and release strategies and schedules for complex IT eco-systems.
- Advise Product, Engineering, and IT teams on change management processes, ensuring change management is considered during design of products and services.
- Ensure configuration standards are met and enforced consistently.
- Develop and implement improvement plans based on lessons learnt from failed changes.
- Provide and manage summary metrics on change activity, including logs, records of approvals and proof of applied changes with a validated audit trail to support audits.
- Collaborate to ensure lessons learnt are recognised and processes updated to mitigate future challenges.
Requirements
- Change and release management experience, including process improvement.
- Experience working with different delivery methodologies, including waterfall and agile.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations and standards, e.g. CE, ISO20000, ISO22301 and ISO27001.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience of working in a medium to large enterprise with multiple stakeholders to manage.
- ITIL Certification (desirable).
- Operational experience working with at least one public cloud provider (AWS, Azure or GCP) (desirable).
- Able to focus on detail, be a good completer/finisher and produce high quality and auditable deliverables (desirable).
- Experience in working in Technology or Software delivery (desirable).
