About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide programmatic guidance, coordination, and implementation support to a portfolio of projects
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, risk and compliance, supply chain, HR, and program quality teams to support award compliance and implementation
  • Support agency-wide project and award management strategies, standards, tools, and best practices
  • Assist with donor and stakeholder communications for assigned projects
  • Guide regional and country teams on day-to-day project and award management processes
  • Strengthen staff and partner capacity through training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing
  • Prepare and consolidate reports, deliverables, and required documentation
  • Contribute to proposal development, due diligence, award start-up, and compliance checks
  • Support award negotiations by preparing documentation and coordinating with relevant teams
  • Facilitate cross-functional coordination, track actions, resolve routine issues, and escalate complex issues
  • Promote consistent use of project and award management practices across the assigned portfolio

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, International Affairs, Development or a related field
  • Minimum of eight years relevant international working experience with progressive responsibilities
  • Minimum of two years of experience traveling and working in low-resource settings
  • Experience contributing to successful proposals for external funder funding
  • Four years of relevant experience in project management, project support, award management, compliance or similar fields
  • Working knowledge of institutional funders, funding cycles, compliance requirements, and reporting expectations
  • Knowledge of project and award management principles
  • General understanding of finance, risk/compliance, supply chain, and related functional areas
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with web conferencing tools, information systems, and knowledge-sharing platforms
  • Strong relationship management and coordination skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Service-oriented, proactive approach with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Required language: English
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% of job time
  • Ability to legally work where the position is performed
  • Successful candidates requiring residence or frequent travel outside a home country must clear pre-employment medical clearance
