About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Enable effective, efficient, and secure development teams to deliver high-quality business value to customers
Provide DevOps tooling, technical guidance, standards, and best practices to the Cat Digital development community
Collaborate with development teams on DevOps best practices, standards, and SDLC troubleshooting
Create, optimize, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines
Create, optimize, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure deployments using Infrastructure as Code
Collaborate with the DevOps Engineering community to set standards and implement initiatives across Cat Digital teams
Assist developers with cloud services and troubleshoot IAM, networking, and configuration issues
Communicate issues, recommendations, and solutions to developers, product owners, and software development managers
Perform programming, project management, and development assignments, including complex systems work, without close supervision

Requirements

What you’ll need

Typically, 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
Experience with AWS cloud services such as IAM, S3, Lambda, SageMaker, API Gateway, and RDS
Deep understanding of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) principles and best practices
Strong experience creating, managing, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions
Experience managing and deploying AWS infrastructure via AWS CloudFormation
Knowledge of software development life cycle
Knowledge of software product design and architecture
Knowledge of software integration engineering
Knowledge of decision-making processes and critical thinking
Effective communication skills
Candidate must be based in either Chicago, Illinois or Peoria, Illinois
Successful completion of a drug screen
