About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and execute ETL test plans, test cases, and test scripts for data integration projects.
Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes across multiple source and target systems.
Perform source-to-target data mapping validation and data reconciliation.
Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for ETL workflows.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries to validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
Identify, document, track, and retest defects through resolution.
Collaborate with Data Engineers, Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners to understand requirements and data flows.
Validate data warehouse, data lake, and reporting solutions.
Support test automation initiatives for ETL and data quality testing.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
8+ years of experience in ETL/Data Warehouse testing
Strong proficiency in SQL and database concepts
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. (Preferred)
Experience in test automation using Python, Selenium, or data testing frameworks. (Preferred)
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. (Preferred)
