About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute risk assessments of Customs and Trade compliance programs to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with in-region Business Divisions, Compliance teams, and Legal teams to provide strategic and operational support for global trade management at Caterpillar
- Support the development, implementation and maintenance of Customs and Trade compliance policies and procedures
- Provide training on government laws, rules and regulations as they pertain to organizational products, services and technologies
- Proactively monitor, manage and mitigate risks through stakeholders, business partner engagement.
- Assist with development and implementation of compliance strategies and goals in line with company's business objectives
- Effectively communicate insights, progress, and recommendations across the organization as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 8+ years’ experience with trade compliance or a related field
- Demonstrated business partnering, advocacy, and acumen with strong intellectual curiosity
- Development and/or management of trade compliance processes
- Experience building, implementing, or enhancing compliance programs and operational controls in a multi-national business environment
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and build trust with stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Strategic thinker who thrives in ambiguity and develops innovative solutions to complex regulatory challenges.
