About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide direction for team members to develop and execute complex hybrid control systems including generators, inverters, and battery systems
- Ensure collaboration between departments and divisions working together to ensure a cohesive system is achieved on time
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to define and meet product requirements
- Provide guidance on long term strategy and direction for controls, inverters and battery energy storage systems
- Provide guidance and support for regulatory compliance and certification
- Research new methods for system and site control
- Develop functional requirements, design parameters, performance characteristics, and technical specifications of products and components that satisfy customer needs and advance safety, quality, velocity and cost
- Guiding the evolution of technical design, technical project planning, detail design, and development testing
- Monitoring, exploring, and testing new technologies, materials, and components to understand product or process improvement opportunities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an accredited Engineering, Technology, or Computer Science curriculum
- Extensive engineering experience in electric power generation, electrical & electronic control systems, inverter technologies or electrical power distribution systems
- Familiarity with Matlab, Simulink, Codesys
