About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide critical support for NPI, CPI, factory support, and cost reduction initiatives for LPSD engines
- Collaborate closely with engine platform and application teams, performance teams, and external suppliers
- Utilize APQP to collaborate with suppliers; optimizing designs to meet performance, reliability, durability, and cost targets
- Direct the work of off-site engineering groups providing analysis, and detailing services
- Complete design FMEA’s and develop validation requirements for new and improved designs
- Create product validation plans and lead execution of these plans
- Assist in teardown/inspection of turbochargers being used in validation or returned from a customer
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree related to Engineering/Technology required
- Extensive knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product
- Extensive knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis
- Extensive understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques
- Extensive knowledge of effective self-management practices
