About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Performance of advanced preventive maintenance on process/production equipment as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Respond to and provide service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations, and industry standards
Safely performs functions of the position, including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tag out procedures and wearing PPE as required
Prepare/complete assigned tasks in conformance with applicable procedure requirements provided by the supervisor
Perform advanced repairative maintenance on production equipment
Work independently, without supervision
Train other technicians
Communicate with cross-functional leaders
Assign work orders to contributing team members
Schedule and manage special work orders/projects
Point of contact for all production downtime issues that arise

Requirements

What you’ll need

5 years minimum of cumulative experience performing industrial maintenance (corrective, preventive, and testing) in a manufacturing facility
Prior leadership experience
Relevant industry certification
Prior experience within a Caterpillar Facility
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and equipment diagrams
Safe and effective use of common maintenance tools (carpentry, plumbing, assembly, etc.)
Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot, repair, and installation of manufacturing machine components
Experience utilizing CMMS
Experience maintaining and troubleshooting PLCs
Extensive knowledge troubleshooting and repairing hoists/cranes
Ability to diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, server motors, pneumatics and hydraulics
