About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Participate in a 40-hour-per-week, 12-week Digital and Analytics internship
Design and rapidly develop consistent, customer-centric digital experiences
Contribute to product development, mobile and service applications, eCommerce, and digital marketing
Help simplify enterprise digital infrastructure and accelerate application development
Improve data availability, quality, and security across digital platforms
Work with digital data and artificial intelligence, telematics gateway and datahub, DevOps, and Cybersecurity teams
Apply analytics techniques to diverse IoT-connected asset data
Contribute to anomaly detection, business analytics, data visualization, and business marketing analytics projects
Support analytics project teams solving medium- to high-complexity problems
Help drive deployment and support of Caterpillar digital products
Contribute to maturing data management processes
Build technical abilities through networking, mentorship, business skill building, and career discussions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be currently participating in a Caterpillar student program
Must be enrolled full time at a 4-year University/College in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science/Analytics, Data Visualization, Marketing Analytics, Math, Stats, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Systems Engineering or related degree at the time of application and throughout the program
Must have completed 12 credit hours prior to the start of the program
Minimum 3.0/4.0 cumulative GPA, no rounding
Must be able to relocate to internship location for the duration of the internship and complete daily commute using reliable transportation
Demonstrated experience with several of the following: Python, Java, SQL, Snowflake, AWS/Azure, Tableau, Power BI, Google Analytics, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Salesforce, React, JavaScript, Node.js, HTML, UI Design, UX Research, writing API’s for deployment, etc.
