About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Establish and execute optimal price levels for Caterpillar products and services
- Provide pricing recommendations and analyze sales, competitive environment, and product value characteristics
- Support pricing activities for Caterpillar Machines, Energy & Transportation (Engines), and Parts & Services
- Collaborate with product, sales, marketing, accounting, and supply chain teams on value-based pricing strategies
- Advance Caterpillar’s digital pricing capabilities with cross-functional teams
- Provide guidance for executing dynamic and differentiated pricing strategies
- Analyze, interpret, and communicate a wide variety of data
- Execute strategic and tactical price actions within a pricing governance framework
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be currently pursuing a degree at a 4-year accredited university/college in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Business Management, Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing, or another business-related field, at the time of application and throughout the program
- Bachelors or Masters degree program
- Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA (both Major GPA & Cumulative GPA)
- 12 completed semester hours prior to the start of the internship
- Transfer students must have 12 semester hours completed at a 4-year university
- Previous internship and/or relevant work experience
- Strong analytical, initiative, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Leadership involvement in student associations
- Intermediate user of Microsoft Excel
- Willingness to relocate if necessary for the duration of the internship
- Reliable transportation for daily work commute
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position
- Resume and unofficial copy of transcripts required
- Successful completion of a drug screen required
