About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive software project and program delivery for Caterpillar’s equipment management portfolio
  • Lead foundational platform capabilities that power dealer and customer-facing applications
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, business, and application stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions
  • Manage the planning and execution of project team members
  • Responsible for managing the project charter, communications, metrics, reporting, and the overall project plan and budget
  • Support various project teams and obtain/provide a variety of information starting at concept stage and continuing through prototype, pilot, implementation and follow-up stages of various projects
  • Develop and produce project management schedules
  • Use professional project management tools and techniques to manage reporting, tracking charts, checklist, and project scheduling software
  • Manage change and take active leadership in timely decision making
  • Monitor progress of projects, discuss problems with affected areas, assure appropriate personnel are informed of problem and steps are in place to meet schedules

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of direct project management experience working with software engineering teams in an agile environment
  • PMP certification desired
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) desired
  • Working knowledge Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS)
  • Knowledge of Confluence desired
  • Knowledge of Power BI is desired
