Drivetrain Component Design Engineer – Casting, Structure

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver casting and structure component solution for torque converter, transmission, axle
- Lead casting and structure component design, including 3D modeling, structure FEA analysis, design verification
- Lead the development and validation, review PPAP
- Provide engineering support to drivetrain casting & structure component localization
- Work with global cross function team to deliver qualified drivetrain components
- Demonstrate strong customer focus to meet customer needs from PQVC by applying new technology
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor or Master in Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Material Science
- Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis
- Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques
- Knowledge of effective self-management practices
- Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods
- Knowledge of tools and techniques of specialized graphics programs (e.g. Creo, Creo Simulate for FEA, bolt joint analysis, etc.)
- Knowledge of process (e.g. casting, forging, machining, heat treatment, inspection)
- Knowledge of torque converter, transmission, axle, the casting and structure component features
- Fluent in English (reading, listening, writing and speaking)
