About the role

  • Designing and implementing daily procedures and reviewing/assessing activities against internal control standards.
  • Directing and participating in the risk and compliance education of the organization, ensuring ongoing and follow up education including regulations, policies, procedures and trends.
  • Developing, initiating and revising policies and procedures for the general operation of the business unit's compliance program and its related activities.
  • Identifying potential risk and compliance vulnerabilities; developing corresponding corrective action plans for resolution of these issues and providing guidance for use in future situations.
  • Supporting IAAS audits and internal reviews, including audit preparation, assisting the CISM team during the audit, and actively participating in issue remediation and certification.
  • Assisting the CISM team related to periodic audit questions and issues that may arise in daily work responsibilities.
  • Mentoring and coaching other team members on compliance standards and applying them effectively as per business practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Audit, Risk Management, Business, Logistics or a related field.
  • Strong ability to collaborate and partner across peers and leadership
  • Strong understanding of Caterpillar’s Ethics & Compliance Program, Our Values in Action, and the Enterprise Policies and Procedures
  • Background/experience in risk management
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Sound decision making skills and proactive problem-solving abilities.
