About the role
- Responsible for identifying customer solutions (DTO) outside of traditional NPI.
- Understand system interactions to enable solutions to meet Caterpillar requirements and customer deliverables.
- Gather requirements and collaborate on designs with customers and dealers.
- Work with product groups, EP, Marine, O&G to deliver quality products at the lowest possible costs.
- Collaborate with AT&ES performance engineers to understand performance tradeoffs.
- Develop project scope to address business challenges and opportunities.
- Partner with design, manufacturing, supply chain, and test to deliver new products and improve validation processes.
- Keep up-to-date on new technologies and drive continuous improvement to established techniques.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Material Science, Chemistry, or closely related curriculum.
- Aftertreatment experience
- Experience in a customer interface setting
- Experience with NPI process
- Advanced Excel experience
- Prior experience presenting to internal and external customers
