About the role

  • Work with machine business divisions, hydraulic system engineering, and hydraulic strategy groups to identify NPI, NTI, NSI, assurance of supply, and cost reduction opportunities for hydraulic valves.
  • Oversee project progress, timelines, and costs; communicate status through regular gate reviews; address and resolve technical and operational challenges.
  • Align efforts across component design, detailing, releasing, hydraulics strategy, manufacturing facilities, purchasing, and supply chain teams.
  • Play an active role in supplier selection and development of potential suppliers.
  • Act as gatekeeper, ensuring that all sourcing projects are identified and ready for review by the Hydraulics Sourcing Council.

Requirements

  • Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
  • Project Management: Lead end-to-end engineering projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure alignment with project goals and milestones.
  • Oversee hydraulics-related projects, ensuring technical and operational requirements are met throughout the lifecycle.
  • Technical Excellence: Maintain deep technical knowledge in hydraulic systems and components.
  • Review and validate technical designs, specifications, and documentation.
  • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies to guide innovation and improvement.
  • Provide hands-on support in solving complex engineering challenges involving hydraulic systems.
  • Influencing Through Expertise: Build trust and credibility with stakeholders through strong technical insight and clear communication.
  • Advocate for engineering solutions that align with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Lead technical discussions and influence decision-making across departments and project teams.
  • Present hydraulics-related concepts and project strategies to non-technical audiences to gain support and drive action.
