About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the Large Tractor product line by driving supplier collaboration and engineering design control activities
Provide technical support for fabricated components, focusing on light fabrication and burn-to-shape manufacturing processes
Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Category Procurement, Manufacturing, and Category teams to resolve supply and production challenges
Evaluate supplier capabilities and support sourcing and manufacturing decisions
Lead cross-functional problem-solving efforts to improve quality, shipping, and operational performance
Support New Product Introduction (NPI), Engineering Change Management, and Continuous Improvement initiatives
Analyze technical and business requirements to recommend solutions supporting business outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge through professional expertise
Working knowledge of fabrication, manufacturing processes, and engineering design controls
Ability to analyze supplier capabilities, quality performance, and business requirements
Ability to communicate technical requirements and supply-related issues across cross-functional teams
Ability to translate complex technical and business information into clear recommendations
Ability to build partnerships with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders
Working knowledge of supplier capabilities, fabrication processes, and manufacturing requirements for sourcing decisions
Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems for procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, or supplier-related processes
Experience with Teamcenter and engineering management tools
Familiarity with Caterpillar purchasing systems and procurement practices
Ability to work onsite five days per week at the East Peoria, IL, or Mossville, IL facility
Ability to travel up to 25%
Must successfully complete a drug screen
Must be eligible to work without visa sponsorship
